Foxwoods' new Stargazer Casino, sitting high atop the landmark Grand Pequot Tower, officially opens December 30 and offers the most exclusive gaming experience at Foxwoods. Only one film actor in the world would arrive at a casino on the 25th floor via the balcony, and that would be Jackie Chan. He will participate in the grand opening of the new high-end casino. And to make the grand opening even more memorable, the world-renowned film star Sophia Loren will join Jackie Chan.

Pai Gow Poker is one of the top ten best casino bets because of the low casino advantage, typically less than 3%. It's similar to regular poker in play and strategy. William Hill, Britain's largest bookmaker, has just taken the biggest royal bet in their history. Welsh bettor Peter Thomas is convinced that Queen Elizabeth will abdicate by December 31, 2024. He's so sure that he's placed a $3,658 bet at 28-1 odds. A spokesperson at William Hill said that betting on the Queen's abdication was common but the average bet is quite small, usually under $30. If Mr. Thomas is right, he stands to win $106,100!

We just returned from a trip to Flamingo Hilton in Laughlin, NV. We had a very nice room and the food was cheap and good. Breakfast was 99 cents and included an omelette with everything, toast and coffee. This was served until 11 AM. We had a great trip to Laughlin, Nevada. The tour guide was great and very helpful and everyone in the casino was so pleasant to deal with. The slots and games were paying off great. We took the boat ride down the Colorado River and were impressed with the other hotels along the river. The food was good for casinos. The shuttle bus took us downtown to a shopping mall and back so what more could you ask for? I would recommend Laughlin to anyone that likes the casinos. - C. Hollett
